No. Since 2007, all passengers traveling to the Bahamas MUST provide a valid, unexpired passport.

You are required to bring a US resident card, VISA or ESTA along with your current passport. Please call us if you have any questions about these requirements.

Is there long-term parking available?

Yes, and it's FREE. We are located at Banyan Air Services at Ft Lauderdale Executive Airport. Your vehicle must be registered at the front desk when you arrive.

Are there any limitations to luggage size?
Answer:
Yes. Soft-sided luggage, duffel bag style. We recommend two small bags instead of one large bag due to cargo compartment limitations. Additionally, please keep in mind there may be a weight limit to your specific destination. Please contact us for more information.

Can I bring alcoholic beverages to the Bahamas?

Yes. 2 bottles of wine 1 case of beer and 2 bottle spirits per person.

Answer:
Yes, only if they are canned or frozen. NO fresh fruits or vegetables are permitted.

Can I expect any additional fees?
Answer:
Yes. You are required to pay $36 per person Bahamian departure tax and screening fee for each passenger. The Bahamian Islands charge an overtime fee for the Customs and Immigration officer if your arrive or depart on any weekend or holiday and before 9 AM or after 5PMMonday – Friday. Also, the Bahamian customs charge a $150 processing fee per flight this is only charged if one charter the entire aircraft.
All fees are paid cash only.

Our aircraft can carry either 7 or 9 passengers depending on configuration. However, please keep in mind that even though the aircraft may be able to carry 9 passengers, weight plays a significant role in how many passengers will be allowed on the flight. Each destination has a different allowable weight so please speak with your representative to get an estimate of the available weight for that flight.

What if the weather is bad on my date of travel?
Answer:
Due to dynamic nature of weather, it is hard for us to forecast the conditions on the date of your flight. We try our best to accommodate our passengers as best as possible but sometimes mother nature does not play nicely. We will ALWAYS make the safe decision and not subject your party to unfavorable and/or unsafe flight conditions even if this means waiting until the next day.

Is there any limitation on materials that are considered hazardous? (ex. paint, aerosols, household cleaners, etc..)
Answer:
Elite Travel 242 aircrafts are not certified to carry hazardous materials on our aircraft. Certain limits are allowed for medicinal and toiletries. Please click this link for a list of approved materials.

Can we bring seafood back into the USA from the Bahamas.

Yes, you are allowed 10 pounds of conch 1 dozen lobster during the OPEN season and unlimited fish. Overage fees may apply.
